Our open access journal International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education (ETHE), previously known as RUSC. Universities and Knowledge Society Journal, began publishing articles in 2004 by the University of Catalonia (UOC). The journal has published 12 volumes with more than 250 articles, nearly 200 of which have appeared in both English and Spanish. In 2010, it was accepted for indexing by Scopus and its position has improved ever since.
Starting from 2016 (Volume 13 onwards), the journal will be published under the name International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education (ETHE) by SpringerOpen. It aims to allow research in educational technology to be available globally, and to be easily accessible for those in this field.
In the future, we hope to further develop international perspectives in ETHE. The aim is to
facilitate a greater understanding of technology used in teaching and learning processes in higher education across different regions. We would also like to expand the journal’s reach and impact globally, not only to broaden the academic conversation, but also to ensure our journal remains a shared vehicle for multiple world views.
ETHE will continue to be an open access journal under the academic management of UOC, with the assistance of an internationally acclaimed editorial board. We hope that ETHE will become the leading, fully open access journal for the dissemination of academic research and discussion on topics connected with the use of educational technology in higher education.
